Second Grade Challenge: February 6-10

Hello, second graders! This week, you will learn about nets--but not like fishing nets or basketball nets :) In geometry, nets are two-dimensional shapes that can be folded to form three-dimensional shapes. Look at the example below, then continue reading to complete your challenge.

In this Illuminations task, you will determine which nets can be folded to make a cube and which cannot. You can print your results when you are finished. Have an adult send a picture of your work to acsk2challenge@gmail.com, and you will receive a certificate for your hard work! Your name will also be entered into a drawing for a sweet treat. Good luck!
